Heavy Civil Construction

Capella provides construction support for heavy civil and infrastructure projects including earthwork, grading, excavation, road construction, utility installation and site development.

Earthwork & Site Development

Our capabilities include:

Site clearing and grubbing, excavation, cut and fill, subgrade preparation, engineered fill placement, base course installation, moisture conditioning, compaction, fine grading and preparation for paving or construction.

Asphalt Paving

Capella provides asphalt construction for:

Parking lots, roadways, driveways, commercial facilities, subdivision streets, pavement rehabilitation, asphalt removal and replacement, base-course correction and pavement repairs.

Underground Utilities

Our team has experience with infrastructure associated with:

Water systems, wastewater systems, sewer systems, utility trenches, site utilities and subdivision development.

Concrete & Site Improvements

Services can include:

Concrete flatwork, curb and gutter, drainage improvements, site concrete, roadway-related improvements and construction coordination.

Commercial & General Construction

Through our GB-98 classification and project team, Capella can participate in commercial building projects, renovations, site construction and general construction activities.

Demolition & Environmental Services

Capella's licensing includes environmental classifications supporting selected demolition, asbestos, mold and lead-related projects subject to project-specific regulatory requirements.

Parking Lot Rehabilitation

Capella provides complete parking-area rehabilitation, including:

Existing pavement evaluation, asphalt demolition, grading corrections, base-course repairs, compaction, paving, drainage improvements, pavement repairs and project closeout.

SUBDIVISION & LAND DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

From Raw Ground to Finished Development

Capella personnel have extensive experience with subdivision construction and land development.

Our team understands how the individual components of a development must work together.

A typical project may include:

Earthwork and mass grading, streets, water utilities, sewer utilities, drainage, curb and gutter, concrete, asphalt paving, building pads, retaining or rock walls and final site improvements.

This broad experience allows Capella to evaluate the entire project instead of looking at an individual scope in isolation.
